Water Heater
RV-550 NSP
$1,125
Hot water was a big question I had when starting my tiny house research. The luxury of of turning on the hot water spigot in a house and having hot water instantly, wasn't just going to happen in a tiny house. The traditional water heaters in homes store and preheat 30-50 gallons of water. I knew for just this reason alone, I would be going with a tankless heater.
Tankless water heaters are more expensive upfront. However, in the long run they are more efficient and save money. They take up little space, provide hot water on demand and have a higher life, almost double that of a tank water heater.
Though true for many of the hot water heaters out there, here are the reasons I went with PrecisionTemps (also this was recommended in the Tiny House Workshop by Tumbleweed Tiny Houses).
Hot Water for Any Season

Very Powerful
With 55,000 BTUs—the highest hot water output in the industry—and built-in freeze protection, it delivers on-demand, continuous hot water.
Less Propane
With higher efficiency and 55,000 BTUs, it produces more hot water than traditional water heaters. Without a tank to keep hot, many people report that they use up to 50% less propane.
